Turnover time on the planet of Fortnite is 4:00 a.m. Eastern. That is when new updates occur,
fortnite items and that's when Season 4 will finish: on Thursday, July 12, at 4:00 a.m. Eastern. Season 5 likely will not start at that exact instant, however.
This is a large update, and will likely need some downtime to execute. So Season 5 will begin whenever downtime ends, which is normally about 1-2 hours once it begins. So we can anticipate Season 5 to start between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 12.
When that occurs, expect a couple of things to go down. The most obvious will be these map adjustments: we don't know just what's going to happen, but now we have a fairly good idea. Expect something to occur involving the giant rift in the skies, though that will probably be in the form of an opening cinematic.
It will probably spit out three big new things of interest together Japanese, Western and Viking themes, or lead them to materialize in other ways. There will most likely be a lot of other map changes too, but that seems like it will be the large one.
There'll also be a brand new battle pass, and that's exactly what these seasons are about, after all. You are going to need to buy it if you would like to partake, but it will include a bunch of new skins and other cosmetics themed about what looks like some sort of time travel motif, though there's always some wildcards too.
